DESCRIPTION:
Manage, deploy and install Oracle databases on RAC and non-RAC hardware (AIX, Linux). Manage, deploy and install Oracle GoldenGate in uni-directional and bi-directional modes. Manage the setup and configuration of GoldenGate Director and Veridata. Database performance and tuning, problem resolution, SR creation and working with the vendor. Perform day-to-day system support, design and implement data replication strategies, upgrading and new project planning and implementation with the following responsibilities:
Oracle GoldenGate (bi-directional experience required)
Oracle Veridata
Oracle Grid Control (setup, usage, installation)
Oracle database build using ASM on RAC/non-RAC
Oracle database upgrades, patching
Working with the client team for problem resolution
Database performance and tuning
Database performance monitoring
Database backup and recovery using RMAN.
Developing and maintaining standards (SOE) and comply with company's Audit requirements
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
7 Years production Oracle Database Administration Experience
5 Years production Oracle GoldenGate Experience
Oracle Application Express
Oracle 11G installation on enterprise systems (AIX, Linux) RAC/Non-RAC
Oracle ASM
Design and implementation of Goldengate data replication in a high performance, high available environment
Ongoing support and problem determination of Data Replication issues,
including identifying and resolving data inconsistencies data replication lag
Must have experience with Dataguard, RMAN
Must have experience in Performance and Tuning
Must have experience in Database problem resolution, dealing with Oracle, creation of SRs.
Database patching, upgrades, maintenance
Unix Shell Scripting
Strong SQL skills
NON-TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Smooth verbal and written skills in English.
Basic project management skills.
Ability to operate in a high pressure, date driven environment
Oracle database build using ASM on RAC/non-RAC
Oracle database upgrades, patching
