Software Implementation Consultant / Developer
General Job Summary
Respond is our world-class complaints management software, used by mainly financial services organizations. You will become a member of the Respond Customer Solutions team which provides Respond application consulting, software implementation, solution configuration, system integration, user training, and support to our customers. You would work with external and internal customers with other members of your team to successfully deploy new customer solutions or enhance existing systems. As part of this role you will research and resolve challenges and issues, manage customer expectations and foster positive business relationships with all customers. For every part of a customer engagement, you must be able to prepare, execute and close the activity safely.
The successful candidate would need to foster positive working relationships with sales, support and product management colleagues in order to succeed. This role will involve travel to customer sites.
Work Experience
Minimum of 2 years of related experience covering technical software implementation utilizing the following skills:
· .NET development, preferably C#
· Team Foundation Server
· Web skills, such as Web Services, HTML, XML, JavaScript, CSS
· Relational databases, e.g. Microsoft SQL Server
· Knowledge of Microsoft’s client products, including Windows OS and Office
· Knowledge of Microsoft’s server components, such as Windows Server OS, IIS and SQL Server
· Web applications such as MVC
· Source control systems, such as TFS
· Genuine interest in IT and delivering successful software implementations
· Ability to work with external customers in order to translate business requirements into technical documentation and ultimately a solution
· Experience of the full project life cycle
Desired
· Experience of working in a fast-paced vendor software development company
· Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science related subject or equivalent
