is seeking a Lead Quality Engineer
to join the Quality Engineering Team
for the QF-16 Quality Organization
in Berkeley, MO
. This position will report directly to the Autonomous Systems Senior Quality Program Manager within Total Quality.
The ideal candidate should have experience developing and executing quality statement of work, effectively communicate at with internal stakeholders and the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) customer. Strong demonstration of data driven analytics and proactive solution implementation is desired.
Position Responsibilities:
Advises others in the preparation of significant bids and proposals.
Authors Quality plans for major programs.
Advises suppliers and business partners in the development of their Quality plans to ensure the flowdown of requirements.
Consults at the business unit level to develop Quality criteria for supplier selection.
Oversees the development of methods, procedures and metrics to ensure quality standards and practices for large programs and derivatives.
Leads verification reviews to ensure adequate surveillance to validate product and process Quality requirements.
Develops new methods for conducting product and process validation.
Represents Quality in program and design reviews of the inter-relationship of multiple systems.
Advises on development of methods for testing and approval of products, processes, equipment and measurement systems to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
Performs benchmarking of enterprise best practices.
Leads cross-functional continuous Quality improvement efforts.
Develops new applications for advanced statistical methods.
Works under consultative direction.
This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and does not require applicants to live in Berkeley, MO.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
(An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
10 years of experience in root cause, corrective action
10 years' experience in with AS9100 or ISO9001
Bachelor's degree or higher in a business or technical field
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
Experience interfacing with a variety of Customers (Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), etc.)
Experience interfacing with Suppliers
Executive level communication skills
Six sigma education and application
Typical Experience/Education:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD 9 years' related work experience, Master 12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Relocation:

Travel:
Position may require travel up to 50% of the time.
