Pharmacy Tech (Certified)

Eastside Medical Center is currently looking for a Pharmacy Tech (Certified).
SHIFT: PRN
Responsibilities:
Procures and distributes medication orders per physician request, pharmacist request, or prearranged work assignment according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
Fills physician orders, medication carts, or stock requisitions accurately.
Replenishes medications in floor stock areas accurately.
Prepares intravenous admixtures or other sterile products accurately.
Delivers medications and supplies to patient care and ancillary areas accurately per established schedule
Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies and procedures.
Assists in ordering, receiving, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals and supplies in appropriate locations.
Rotates stock to ensure use before expiration date.
Restocks medication in dispensing areas.
Picks up orders, requisitions, and medications for return from patient care areas when on delivery rounds.
Demonstrates knowledge and use of department Performance Improvement (PI) by identifying problems and offering solutions.
Identifies PI activities by articulating department and hospital wide quality improvement successes.
Supports and assists in meeting goals of department PI.
Performs assigned department based monitoring duties in a timely manner (i.e. quality control checks, unit inspections, signing hood logs, fill logs).
Gives a thorough, concise report at change of shift, within allotted time.
Communicates incomplete assignments, and potential patient concerns to monitor in order to ensure continuity of medication therapy.
Participates in department or hospital committees, task forces, and/or provide departmental education.
Assists with the orientation of new employee(s) and/or orients current employee(s) to improve in a specific area.
Maintains the security of the pharmacy.
Maintain coverage at pharmacy at all times.
Performs unit dose packaging of medications','!*!Qualifications:
Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
Basic computer skills required
Georgia Board of Pharmacy Registration - required
Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Certificate - required
Current Georgia Driver’s license within 30 days of hire - required
Driver Safety Training Course in Healthstream within 60 days of hire or transfer - required','Pharmacy Technician Cert PRN'
