Contracts Manager
The candidate will ensure appropriate and timely execution of contracts. Will manage 1+ employee in the execution and tracking of contracts. Establish and communicate SLAs in contract turnaround times and processes. Review, negotiate and approve a multitude of contracts ensuring adherence to institutional branding, legal, regulatory and risk mitigation standards set by firm. Review and approve legal agreements drafted and negotiated by the contracting staff. Manage tracking of contracts in SalesForce and other databases. Function as liaison with firm's legal team in New York, and as the main customer contact regarding contracting issues. Ensure customer satisfaction with the firm's contracting process and team. Work with the units and with legal on the development of agreement templates and forms. Negotiate directly with customers as needed to complete contracts. Negotiate and amend master contracts as needed. Facilitate training sessions on the contract review and processing procedures. Review and suggest improvements for software/hardware technology including databases, applications and systems to ensure modernization, integration and sustainability. Should have Bachelor's degree. J.D. degree is preferred. Must have 1+ year of team/people management experience. Negotiation experience with legal teams preferred. Experience in the education industry desired. Should have strong ability to negotiate.
