The minimum requirements for this position are as follows:
Education/Training: 4-Year technical degree or trade school equivalency; five or more years’ experience in UAV or military aviation operations. Equivalent professional experience in UAV or aviation operations may be substituted in lieu of formal education.
• Must demonstrate a detailed understanding of UAV and FAA flight principles, theories and concepts.
• Must have at least five hundred (500) hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) with current MQ-9 Form 8 aircraft qualification.
• Must possess current FAA Class II Medical Certificate or DoD equivalent.
• Must possess ability to obtain DOD secret clearance as well as customer specific clearance(s).
• Must demonstrate excellent analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to accurately interface with all levels of employees and military and civilian customers, contractors and aircrew.
• Must maintain detailed knowledge of computer operations and applications.
• Must have the ability to work both independently and in a team environment, and be able to work extended hours and travel (within CONUS) as required.
• Highly desired—USAF qualified MQ-9 pilot, with LRE & MCE experience. Able to start immediately.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
• Possess a valid, state issued driver’s license.
Special Skills: Must apply for an Interim Top Secret Clearance within 30 days of hire start date. Must be able to qualify for and maintain a TOP SECRET (with SCI) security clearance as a condition of continued employment.
Job Description:
URS, an AECOM company is currently seeking highly qualified Pilots to fill MQ-9 RPA contract positions at Creech AFB. RPA Pilots will coordinate ground and flight operations including mission planning, execution and debriefing, debriefing, aircrew resource management, and ground and flight safety. Incumbents serve as Pilot in Command (PIC) for MQ-9 MCE operations only. Non-deployable position.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Acts as Pilot-In-Command of an MQ-9 RPA in support of customer requirements as an MCE pilot at Creech, AFB.
• Defines, plans, organizes and executes complex flight profiles in a tactical environment in support of customer requirements.
• Coordinates and actively participates in ground and flight operations efforts including mission planning, execution and briefing, debriefing, aircrew resource management and safety.
• Ensures compliance with service guidance, company policy and procedures and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations.
• Observes all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
