Twilio is growing rapidly and seeking an Engineer Level 2 in the Flex Business Unit. As a staff engineer, you and your team will work on the designing and implementing Flex’s Infrastructure as Code platform as we expand into multiple tenancies and regions. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to influence and implement architectural solutions that will enable us to achieve our goal of being the world’s most trusted communication platform. Not only will you be responsible for tackling some of the most complex and exciting technical problems in the industry, you will also be working across the product scope based on priority need and work directly with others to provide advice and guidance on implementation approach, engage in cross-team technical discussions, build relationships across architecture and engineering that help resolve bottlenecks and provide the best production solution.
Who?
Twilio is looking for a leader who
lives the Twilio
Magic and has a demonstrated track record designing and implementing high scalable software services. They also have:
Knowledge of architectural patterns and archetypes for building mature, distributed, cross-region services
Surface level depth of operational experience in complex distributed systems, including defining, measuring and monitoring SLO/SLAs for availability and reliability goals
Interest in high level service design -- modeling interfaces and internals in a properly modular, composable, and extensible fashion
Enthusiasm for designing highly distributed systems and at least one cloud service provider
Demonstrated understanding of deploying and managing systems and services in a platform-agnostic manner using technologies such as Docker/K8s, Terraform, and Chef/Ansible/Puppet
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
1 years of software experience
DevOps/SRE experience a plus

Please note that this information is provided for those hired in Colorado only, and this role is open to candidates outside of Colorado as well.
Salary:
Denver/Boulder Metro:
Salary Range: $90,752.00 - $113,440.00
Rest of Colorado:
Salary Range: $79,408.00 - $99,260.00
Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.
