Description

The successful candidate will represent a specific technical domain in the IT
Responsibilities
organization (e.g.: applications, servers) and work with the CI Data Owners to maintain CI data.
Represent a specific technical domain in the IT organization (e.g.: applications, servers)
Ensure that the CMDB effectively supports other ITSM processes such as Incident, Change, and Asset Mgt.
Develop, document, and implement CI data governance processes and procedures for effectively managing CI data
Develop and monitor CI data health reports / dashboards and resolve any issues
Ensure the quality of the CMDB data is maintained and that target metrics are established and met, resolving issues in a timely manner
Proactively identify CI classes, attributes, and relationship types that are required
Proactively identify and resolve CI data, metric, process, or functionality gaps in the CMDB
Ensure the CIs are created or updated using only approved processes and procedures
Develop, document, and implement CI data audits and address any issues that arise
Evaluate enhancement requests and identify appropriate solutions
Create and manage enhancement stories from request to deployment
Validate CMDB functionality as part of ServiceNow platform upgrades and deployments
Provide guidance and training in support of the maintenance and growth of the CMDB
Develop and maintain plans for both project and operational activities and provide project or operational briefings / updates as needed
Participate in ServiceNow upgrade testing and validation
ServiceNow
3 years ServiceNow experience with a focus on IT Service Management (ITSM)
3 years experience with the ServiceNow CMDB and how it supports other ITSM processes such as Incident, Change, and Asset Mgt.
3 years experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), managing and prioritizing enhancement stories from request to deployment
Experience managing CI data in a ServiceNow CMDB
Experience creating CI Data Health reports, identifying, and resolving CI data gaps to maintain CI data integrity
Experience defining, documenting, and implementing CMDB governance processes and procedures
Ability to influence stakeholders to support and comply with the Configuration Management processes
Experience working with stakeholders to understand, document, and prioritize requirements for ServiceNow enhancements
Strong organization skills and an ability to develop and implement plans for transforming issues / requests to completion
Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and balance multiple activities
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
Resourceful, takes the initiative to accomplish goals and objectives
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical audiences
Desired Qualifications
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
ITIL Foundation certified
Knowledge of the ServiceNow Common Service Data Model (CSDM) is a plus
