Job Details:
This job posting is for multiple levels of Developers as listed in the requirements. A qualified candidate will be considered for individual level based on years of experience/qualifications.
The Developer will work in one of Tyson Technology’s development teams and collaborate with other IT pillars to drive the on-going IT digital transformation that aims to establish world-class high-quality software. This role is expected to implement cloud native design patterns, establish and promote state of the art cloud-native solution patterns and standards and work with cloud infrastructure, cloud security and IT delivery teams to design and develop best in class cloud native systems. The role also involved in participating in several stages of the development lifecycle to guide development teams to build well designed cloud native solutions
Responsibilities:
Working closely with Tyson Business and System Analysts to understand business requirements and help translate these into technical requirements for the development team
Planning and documenting technical specifications for features or system design
The role is intended to primarily design, build and deliver platform capabilities via the most advanced cloud-native solutions. To do this the individual should have required technical skills, deep knowledge of the required area and ability to learn and adapt to the needs of the program
Directing the development team in the design, development, coding, testing and debugging of applications
Writing testable, scalable and efficient code and lead code reviews
Mentoring junior team members and interns to ensure they adhere to determined software quality standards
Create, build, and implement applications based on modern cloud design patterns and cloud software development that utilizes cloud computing and services in public, private, and hybrid clouds environments.
Leveraging cloud native services to drive innovation and increases speed to market in the software development life cycle
Continue to learn and grow professionally as new cloud services and solutions come to market.
Follow existing DevOps and CICD practices to ensure structured deployment of code artifacts created.
Qualifications:
Developer
Requires a Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or an equivalent degree with experience equating to a Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
Minimum of 0 – 2 years in a developer role using service and hosting solutions such as private/public cloud IaaS, PaaS and SaaS platforms.
0 -2 years’ experience in developing full stack solutions
Hands-on experience in Container technologies like Docker with Knowledge and experience in container orchestration using any of the cluster / orchestration technologies like Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, AWS EKS, GCP GKE, etc.
Understanding of and hands-on experience with cloud serverless solutions (S3, CloudFront, API Gateway, Lambda Functions, ElastiCache, SQS, MQ, RDS, EKS Fargate, DynamoDB, Cloud Storage, Cloud Function, GKE, Big Query, etc.)
Understanding of and experience with containerization technology (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, Fargate, GCP GKE)
Exposure to Infrastructure-as-code solutions like Terraform
Understanding of DevOps concepts, processes, tools and best practices.
Experience with DevOps tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, GitLab CI, JIRA, etc.
Must possess strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.
Must be able to communicate effectively with team members, all levels of management, and outside vendors/customers.
Creative problem-solving skills
Willingness to travel 25% of the time
Sr. Developer
Requires a Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or an equivalent degree with experience equating to a Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
Minimum of 2 – 5 years in a developer role using service and hosting solutions such as private/public cloud IaaS, PaaS and SaaS platforms.
2 – 5 years’ experience in developing full stack solutions
Hands-on experience in Container technologies like Docker with Knowledge and experience in container orchestration using any of the cluster / orchestration technologies like Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, AWS EKS, GCP GKE, etc.
