Java Architect w/ SAP UI Attn: AM

Modis is seeking a Java Architect with SAP UI experience for a long term contract opportunity in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities:
• Update technical specifications based on the requirements from business

• Design of mock-up screens and working prototypes (to be converted later into actual applications after business approval) as/if required

• Assist as needed in the design of data model and program components/applications

• Develop program components/applications based on approved design (and/or mock-ups/prototypes) and detailed requirements provided by the business

• Perform unit and usability testing and participate in system/integration testing

• Design and develop conversion applications, if needed

• Prepare technical documentation

• Provide required support during user acceptance testing

• Coordinate development activities with offshore team members.

Technical experience required:
• Creating class, activity and sequence diagrams for application environment

• Knowledge in building SAP UI5 applications connecting to SAP R/3

• Extensive experience in usage of web technologies such as JSP, HTML5, jQuery, AJAX.

• Object oriented design and analysis principles

• Application integration, including the use of XML and Mule ESB

• Experience with J2EE spring framework, Spring Web flow, Spring MVC, AOP and Hibernate persistence framework

• Extensive experience in architecting large, mission-critical application environments.

• Provide in-depth technical recommendations for all aspects of the environment, particularly SOA, JAVA, and application middleware integration
