The Database Engineer 2 leads important projects in design, development, implementation and management of databases.

Responsibilities

The Database Engineer 2 assists in the planning, engineering, design and implementation of an organization's databases. Evaluates existing database design, monitors the performance, scalability and security to determine necessary updates based on business requirements.

Work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

Responsibilities


Assist in design and development of database systems.
Optimize database systems for performance and reliability.
Perform database maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
Provide database solutions based on technical documents and business requirements.
Develop database functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers to support application development.
Provide technical assistance to resolve all database issues related to performance, capacity and access.
Develop, modify or enhance SSIS/ETL packages
Develop, modify or enhance SSRS/Power BI reports


Required Qualifications


Extensive experience with database technologies and architecture.
In-depth knowledge of T-SQL
Extensive Experience with SSIS, SSRS, Power BI
Experience with .NET C# language
Sound knowledge of best practices in database engineering and data security.
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
4-6 years of experience in database engineering
