Blockchain Platform developer is responsible for the delivery of software, which may include new development, configuration and installation of third party packages, and software integration efforts. It may include tasks from every part of the software development lifecycle, including software and web application design, development, programming, and software deployment.

Responsibilities:


Evaluate and benchmark blockchain platforms and tools
Design and develop proofs-of-concept, prototypes and deployments
Work with leading startups and vendors for technology development
Contribute to Reference architecture for Shell's blockchain platform
Collaborate with Shell’s internal innovation teams for technologies like Machine learning, Computational Technologies, AI, IoT and Mobility etc.


Blockchain Centre of Expertise (CoE) provides expertise in exploring and maturing the blockchain landscape for Shell businesses by developing prototypes and advice on adoption of software frameworks and platforms related to blockchain. We are a dynamic team experimenting with the exciting new blockchain technology. We build game-changing applications across Shell. Some of the current projects: Carbon Credits, Trading applications, Equipment tracking, Mobility-as-a-Service, Distributed Energy Grids.

Requirements:

Skills & Requirements:

Mandatory Skills


Proficient in server-side development using Java/Ruby/Python
Proficient in Linux Shell/Perl/Python scripting
Programming knowledge of C, C Experience in SQL and No-SQL databases
Demonstrable experience in Cloud deployment tools
Knowledge of software repository and version control systems (e.g. Git)
Minimum Education or Certification: Graduate degree in CS / CE / EE or relevant fields
