Database Developer/ DBA (Cassandra) Location: Philadelphia PA 19103 (Hybrid role preferred will consider remote) Duration: 8-12 months contract with potential extension Please share resume over 3 pages and no resume. Job Description: Must have skills: Cassandra, AWS, Kubernetes Cluster Required Qualifications: Cassandra/Keyspaces Distributed Database Administration including cluster maintenance, management, tuning, and optimization. Execution of data backup and recovery strategy and regularly testing the backups to ensure usability. Database capacity remains performant through diligent capacity planning and just-in-time allocation of DB resources such as memory, disk space, CPU, and network requirements. Perform technical troubleshooting to diagnose, isolate and correct data and database issues. Experience with AWS solutions like- EC2/Cloudwatch/S3 etc. Monitoring and optimizing database performance. Experience with monitoring systems (e.g. Grafana, InfluxDB, Prometheus, Datadog, CloudWatch, etc Experience with IAC automation software using Java, Ansible, HashiCorp stack Experience building tools for automation (building, testing, releasing, monitoring, and alarming) Proficient in SQL, Linux environments, and System Administration Experience with IaaS and PaaS providers such as AWS, OpenStack, VMWare, etc. Familiarity with continuous integration/deployment processes and tools such as Jenkins, Concourse, etc. Understanding container technologies like Docker, Fargate, ECS, or Kubernetes. Ability and readiness to quickly learn new technologies. Should have participated in, and be familiar with, Agile (Scrum) project methodology and practices
