Deloitte’s “Banking-as-a-Service” (BaaS) practice is always innovating and pushing next gen digital banking capabilities for our clients. We are looking for a Backend Developer with Backbase experienceto deliver solutions internally and on client engagements. Your goal is to seamlessly integrate the Backbase platform into our customers’ systems.
The ideal candidate needs to have a holistic overview of solutions and understand the why’s and the how’s, should be able to propose different approaches and have a minimum experience of UML and Architectural Diagrams drawing. It is important that you are able to code but also that you have good communication skills in order to bring value to business stakeholders through workshops, whiteboards, slides, etc.
Backbase speaks agile software development. You should too. You know when to be creative and when to consult your colleagues. Because you will be working on a global scale, you easily blend into any work culture.
You should meet and exceed customer desires. You will encounter situations that demand prompt, yet smart actions. You aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty.
Work you’ll do
Play the expert role on client projects for anything related to Backbase backend
Write beautiful and smart code, run tests and coach a team of developers on the client and partner side
Create maintainable code and bring home components that can be reused or developed further
Get It Done: Liaise closely with our customers’ developers, write code and make successful Backbase implementations happen
Provide training to those who work with the platform
Lead by example and mentor other developers in all aspects of planning, development and testing
Be a catalyst for driving best-in-class technology practices and patterns while staying engaged with the latest technology trends
Qualifications
Required:
5 years of experience as a Backend Developer
Solid experience working in enterprise projects
Strong communication skills
Tech skills: Java 8 , Spring Boot, Hibernate, Rest APIs, Microservices, design patterns and TDD
Willingness to travel up to 50% (While up to 50% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice).
Preferred:
Implementation of Enterprise Integration patterns using frameworks (e.g. Apache Camel)
Experience and expertise with web application security implementation using frameworks like Spring Security
