Senior Systems Administrator This is a multidisciplinary organization consisting of all core technologies at Aon with continuous learning on multiple applications! As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our TRACC business group within Aon Service Corporation. We prefer this role to be located near our Lincolnshire or Chicago, IL office locations to occasionally go into the office for moments that matter and/or otherwise can be a virtual role located within the CST or EST time zones already in the U.S.Aon is in the business of better decisionsAt Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world.As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive, diverse team, and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.What the day will look likeResponsible for engaging with multiple internal Aon teams, vendors and key stakeholders for performing requirement analysis, solution design, development, review, deployment, and testing in Infrastructure and Application Monitoring space.This role provides exposure to all best-in-class monitoring solutions available in market for end-to-end monitoring of applications/infrastructures.Skills and experience that will lead to success:8 years of experience with enterprise monitoring solutions.Event Management: (Moogsoft or ServiceNow ITOM).Understanding of ITIL framework, preferred exposure on ServiceNow Incident/Problem/Change Management processesInfrastructure Monitoring: ZabbixApplication Monitoring: NewRelic or DATADOGThis role requires constant knowledge upgrade, attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, continuous improvement, on call/weekend (rotational once a month) work.Preferred Experience:Experience with administration of any of technologies like Linux, Windows, Database (MSSQL/MySQL) solutions on cloud (AWZ/Azure/GCP) or on-prem environmentScripting knowledge of any mentioned technologies like (Python/JavaScript/Shell Script/PowerShell)Automation tools and mindset to continuously improve availability with monitoring.Added advantage for candidates having knowledge of - Containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)ITIL 4 CertificationEducation:Bachelor's/Master’s degree in computer science/technology or related degree. How we support our colleaguesIn addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce.
