Summary:
This position will require someone to work as part of a small development team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
We are looking for a passionate hands-on technologist who has experience developing enterprise-grade Java applications.
You will design and develop new software for web applications, perform research & development of new technologies, integrate with other systems, and maintain and support current web applications.
This person will be expected to be a self starter and be able to work independently as well as work collaborate with the team.
Currently this position will focus mostly on back-end development.
Required Skills and Experience:
Spring Application Development Framework expertise
Hibernate
Oracle (or other SQL databases)
Web Services, XML
AJAX
Expertise in View Technologies (CSS, HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery, etc.)
Experience with full software development life cycle
Eclipse/STS tooling
Unix/Linux shell scripts
The following skills are considered a plus:
Groovy
Grails
GIt
Automated testing tool (e.g. JUnit, Spock)
Mobile development experience
Microsoft technologies / SQL Server
Big Data
Minimum requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
5-7 years of hands-on enterprise-level experience in software development
Self-starter with ability to complete projects with minimal supervision
Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude
