My client is offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our Global Development team, to be responsible for planning, leading, organising and controlling all phases of multiple projects which are led by the PMO. The Senior PM manages senior stakeholders and will independently manage the day-to-day decisions needed to deliver the project on time and on budget, including being able to approach senior stakeholders and present problems and solutions with the required escalation, both internally and externally.
Responsibilities:
Ensure the completion of all stages of the project life cycle including the development of project plans, status and budget reports for several projects across Ocuco Group, while maintaining focus on the Customer
Advocate and ensure agile processes are adhered to and mentor those who need training/guidance
Concurrently manage several projects of different sizes, in different life-cycle phases, geographies and different time zones
Lead and coach cross-functional project team members to ensure maximum participation, productivity, and successful delivery, including Product Owners, Developers, QA team, Professional Services Engineers and Customers
In some circumstances direct a Junior PM or Project coordinator to assist in project delivery
Implement and rollout SAFe processes to the organisation
Ensure Quality Assurance processes are followed
Risk management, mitigation and reporting
Stakeholder management
Project status reporting, financial reporting and project budget reporting
The successful candidate must have:
Proven track record of project management independent delivery of large, complex projects for at least 5-10 years
Current or previous project management formal training and associated qualification, such as PRINCE2 or PMI
Current or previous Scrum certifications and experience
Excellent knowledge of the fundamentals of project management in the software development space
Understand and be able to articulate the project management life cycle
Experience of design and implementation of software development/technology processes
Superb organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent problem solving and management skills
Proven experience of senior stakeholder management and project team management
Perfect fluency in verbal and written English
Experience and confidence in customer-facing skills
Proficient in MS Office Suite, including MS Project, MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Willingness to travel
The ideal candidate should also have:
A degree, ideally in Computer Science, Engineering or Project Management
Account management and business analytics skills
Experience in SAFe practices
Experience in new product web-based deployments
Fluency in another major European Language
Knowledge of databases, JIRA, Confluence
A background in programming
