I'm currently recruiting for an AWS Engineer to help one of my customers address all areas of Cloud engineering, problem resolution, and system implementations. The AWS Engineer will deliver and guide technical implementations across multiple large-scale projects (scrum teams), and mentor junior level engineers in all areas of cloud engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
Building, supporting and automating a container orchestration platform based on the Hashicorp stack (Terraform, Nomad, Vault, Consul) on AWS.
Orchestrating and automating all other AWS cloud services with Terraform
Proposing and implementing improvements and relentlessly automating scaling and healing of the platform
Bringing innovative ideas and technologies to the organisation.
Advocate cloud adoption and best practices
Introduce failures to the systems to ensure the robustness of automation (Chaos Engineering)
Follow best DevOps and DevSecOps practices
Stay current with industry evolution and evaluate which trends/technologies/tools are worth investing in
Technical skills:
Experience with using a broad range of AWS technologies (e.g. EC2, RDS, ELB, EBD, S3, VPC, Glacier, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS)
AWS automation
Terraform or CloudFormation
Linux/Unix administration
Continuous Integration Pipelines (Jenkins)
Continuous Deployment Pipelines (Chef/Puppet)
Monitoring (DataDog/NewRelic)
Docker
Designing for High Availability / Fault tolerance
12 Factor
Container orchestration platforms (Nomad, Kubernetes or Mesos)
Source Control (Git)
Scripting languages (Python or Shell)
Experience
3 years of progressive experience in software development, information systems, or equivalent technical environment
Experience with most AWS technologies are expected with the ability to deploy through code (IaC)
Strong understanding of the concepts, technologies, and cost management of AWS.
Understanding of software development best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Strong knowledge of cloud database management technologies and tools.
