We are seeking a Launch Operations Lead,
to represent the Assembly, Test, and Launch Operations (ATLO)
organization in providing planning and execution of a launch processing at the launch site.
Summary of Key Duties for this position:
• Interface between space vehicle management, launch vehicle management, and customer.
• Be responsible for developing detailed launch campaign schedule, spacecraft transportation, and manpower planning.
• Act as the lead on the launch campaign (integration, dry runs, and ensuring schedule commitments are met).
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college (Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering, Aerospace engineering or a related discipline preferred) or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Experienced in developing strategies, approaches to be applied to launch processing (operability, reliability, maintainability, supportability) integration, analysis and verification.
• Willingness and ability to work non-standard shifts which will be required on an interim basis to support projects/programs timelines.
• Willingness to travel to launch base.
• Must be a US citizen and have an active TS/SCI security clearance. Willing to take and pass polygraph test
Desired Skills:
• Master's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or equivalent.
• Experienced in develop program-specific launch site test plan. Lead day-to-day launch campaign. Coordinate shipment for the space vehicle, test equipment, consumables and non-consumables. Ensure anomaly support and resolution.
• Experience in coordinating with others for detailed facility and launch vehicle requirement definition and integration. Participate in development, maintenance, and verification of the SV/LV Interface Control Document (ICD) requirements.
• Ability to effectively communicate development status, risks, and opportunities not only internally but also to launch community and customers
• Ability to act as the negotiator between multiple and sometimes conflicting interests in order to make sure the system as a whole is optimized
• Ability to contribute to, and utilize lessons learned database
• Solid communication skills & demonstrated ability to drive process compliance and coordinate across functional teams.
• Experience as floor support/liaison with technicians at launch site.
• Familiarity or experience launching a space vehicle out of Vandenberg Air Force Base or the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station
