Why this role matters
An
IT Financial Analyst
oversees the headcount and hiring activity within the Product and Engineering team by tracking growth and replacement roles in the department, and tracking any transfers between functions and locations, to increase forecast accuracy. This person will capture the operating and financial drivers for the business, including the competitive and economic conditions, and build out the business forecasts/budgets.

What you will do
Budget Tracking
Manage the budget line sheet for all non-labor spending
Performing constant spend monitoring and check of actual vs spend
Track all purchase requisitions, and validate adequate budget available for spending
Ensure the accuracy of the Purchase Reqs before approval ensuring that the appropriate cost center has been used
Ensure that contract expenses are reflected in the budget accurately and processed in a timely manner.
Analyze Monthly GL movement reports by function, vendor, and accounts
Reporting and Maintenance
Update the monthly P&E reporting spreadsheet for PELT
Analyze monthly P&E spending against the budget and provide delta explanations
Assist in preparing monthly exec deck prep with narrative and commentary
Assistance with any special reports required from myself or stakeholders
Any system adjustments required such as HC transfers and budget changes
Planning
Research API and Applications financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
Work closely with budget owners in all functional areas to assess the financial viability of various business considerations.
Assist with consolidating financial analysis of actual results and drivers of variances
What you will bring
Strong experience in data mining and creating financial spreadsheets, as well as reports displaying business performance / forecasting data.
Strong communication, collaboration and relationship building skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to:
Extract statistical and informative financial data from our systems.
Apply analytical skills to evaluate and interpret complex financial models, forecasts and scenarios.
What is required for application
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, IT or related discipline.
Corporate FP&A experience of 3 years is required.
Supporting an IT/Engineering function from a Finance perspective is required.
Experience within a SaaS/Technology industry is highly preferred.
