Job Title:
Senior Data Scientist
No. of Positions:
1
Job Description:
Bring your technical expertise and passion for data insights and help us transform how we do business with our customers. You’ll be a pivotal part of driving Shell’s performance, with all the career opportunities you’d expect from a supportive, global company.
Where you fit in
Shell has been at the forefront of the digital revolution for decades, embracing new technologies to change how we operate and communicate with our customers.
Our Data Science Centre of Excellence (DS COE) sits within our Technology team and has a focus on supporting the business to embrace customer centric approaches, which are powered by digital technology, specifically innovative and advanced analytics.
You’ll be part of a team of Data Scientists, delivering the data science and technical support for our advanced analytics projects, with a specific focus on developing Shell’s customer centric digital strategy.
What’s the role?
As Data Scientist, you’ll be working closely with our businesses who directly interact with customers, from Retail and Trading to Global Commercials. Developing and delivering analytic solutions for customer centric business challenges, and enabling insights and improvements to Shell’s business data and processes.
Your main challenge will be to create analytic solutions that will mean our businesses can better understand and predict customer needs and behaviours. That includes, preparing requirements and technical feasibility for customer insight projects, and designing, testing, and deploying algorithms and methods. As well as assessing new customer insight technologies and techniques.
Alongside your technical expertise, you’ll also be calling on your natural people skills, nurturing mutual trust with, often remote, business stakeholders, within a diverse and multinational work environment. Effectively communicating business needs into data solutions, and presenting analytic results back into business language.
