Assistant Director for Administration and Title IX Coordinator
The candidate will be responsible for Title IX and Clery compliance; provide oversight of employment related policies and procedures; and assist the director of administration in institutional operational oversight. Coordinating compliance in the areas of Title IX, Clery Act, and employment policies and procedures. Ensures that the institution meets all its obligations under Title IX. Monitor institutional policy in relation to Title IX. Stay abreast of current trends in Title IX and regulatory changes. Ensure that the institution has adequate grievance procedures for resolving complaints, including notification, investigation, and disposition of complaints. Conduct, oversee, and coordinate investigations. Maintain confidential data and records of training, complaints, investigations, and findings related to Title IX issues. Provide educational materials, programming, and training for the campus community. Obtain training on changing regulations and guidance for Title IX, as well as local/state/federal sex discrimination regulations. Monitor all other aspects of the institution's Title IX obligation. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Administration and/or as required by changes in the law. Ensures that the institution meets all its obligations under the Jeanne Clery Act including: Monitor institutional policy in relation to Jeanne Clery Act. Responsible for Clery Act compliance, including the Annual Security Report. Provide education materials, programming, and training for the campus community Monitor all other aspects of the institution's Clery compliance obligation, including maintenance of the Major Incident Response Plan. Maintain data and records related to Clery reportable crimes. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Administration and/or as required by changes in the law. Ensures that the institution meets all its obligations under employment policies and procedures with federal, state, and local employment laws including: Monitor and advise the institution in creating workplace policies and procedures that in compliance with applicable federal, state, and/or local law. Responsible for employee manuals, including departmental and personnel publications, and their on-going review. Respond to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures and standards of conduct by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures. Develops and oversees a system for uniform handling of such violations. Responsible for workplace safety and serves as Salem's health and safety compliance officer. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Administration and/or as required by changes in the law.
