Contract Administrator
The candidate will be reviewing, drafting, and negotiating of moderately complex contracts. Will prepare and review complex requests for proposals. Analyzes significant, and/or unique contract requirements, special provisions, and terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and University policies and procedures. Primary resource for product and service business agreements/contracts and is responsible for a variety of agreement types which include but are not limited to the following: Purchase Agreements (equipment and supplies); Professional Services Agreements; Hotel Agreements; Non-Disclosure Agreements; and other types of product and service business agreements/contracts. Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for achieving solutions beneficial to the University and safeguarding its interests. Support campus departments and research units in their purchasing by analyzing, drafting, negotiating and preparing agreements for execution. Part of a team that represents the University's interests to outside parties concerning terms and conditions of sales and service business agreements/contracts. Establishes and improves communication channels with departments and research units to achieve continuity and efficiency in the execution of business agreements/contracts. Identifies potential problems and provides alternative solutions in the structuring of the business agreement/contract to meet desired objectives. Part of a team that will promote compliance with University policies and procedures and state and/or federal regulations and provide advice regarding University policies and procedures and other information relating to business contract activities. May provide training to Harvard community as necessary.
