Human Resources Officer
The candidate will provide guidance and support at a senior level in a full range of human resources functions to leadership and the 12 institutions of the University. Will develop, coordinate and review human resources programs and policies at the level, and assist institutions with human resources processes and issues. Reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Human Resources, the individual will work closely with Chief Human Resources Officers of the institutions and Office human resources staff, especially in the development and coordination of human resources activities, policy development and implementation; collective bargaining negotiations; the analysis of human resources data; preparation of reports to leadership, institutions and state and federal agencies; and coordination of various activities with representatives of higher education institutions and State agencies. Will share supervisory responsibility for the human resources functions of the approximately 110-person Office, including assistance to employees; the development of policies and procedures; recruitment, orientation, and benefits enrollment of employees; and ongoing office administration.
