JOB DESCRIPTION-Merchandising Specialist
As a Merchandising Specialist, you'll take the lead as you…
DO:
Execute Merchandise Planning functions to produce Best in Class planograms for our retail and wholesale partners.
Develop and analyze merchandise assortments that deliver overall category growth through a combination of internal merchandising tools coupled with retailer specified guidelines.
Analyze retail and market level data to develop planogram schematics utilizing JDA Space Planning software platform.
Create relevant product assortments and optimal space planning that drive sales across the business.
Assist with administrative responsibilities prior to retail project sets such as data cleansing, planogram management, planogram retrieval, reviewing retail and category management guidelines, etc.
LEARN:
• Structured space planning software and company overview training program provides basic industry and specific role knowledge prior to executing live merchandising planograms.
• Certified JDA Space Planning training for space planning software provides industry recognition and elevates ability to work within the software.
• Certified Category Management web based training assists with industry, analytical and category management skills.
• Learn CPG industry specific sales processes and merchandise strategies through collaborative projects.
• Proficient in the use of Syndicated panel sales and panel data.
ARE YOU QUALIFIED?:
• Undergraduate or Graduate in the field of Business, Marketing, Merchandising, Retail Management, Psychology or other equivalent degree or equivalent work experience
• Experience in business, marketing, or related field a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel. Access is a plus.
• Excellent analytic skills
• Ability to collaborate with a wide range of professionals, strong oral and written communication skills, good judgment, time-management skills, and creativity.
• Excellent organizational skills/ability to prioritize
• CPG industry, or alcoholic beverage sales experience is a plus.
• Flexible and capable of adapting to rapidly changing situations
• Ability to follow established protocol and work independently or within a team
• Ability to relocate is required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
• A Merchandising Specialist may work as a member of a team or individually to complete projects.
• A considerable amount of time is spent working at a computer to analyze and design merchandising schematics.
• Minor overnight travel may be required throughout the year, but is not anticipated.
• The required attire is considered smart casual with jeans acceptable.
• Overtime may be required during peak times or in cases of project deadlines but is not anticipated.
