Systems Engineer/Storage Consultant

Profile

Randstad Technologies is currently looking for a Systems Engineer/Storage Consultant.
The candidate will be responsible to work closely with all levels of MIS to support UMB storage environment. This will require coordination with multiple technical parties including IT application development, database, systems, network, and security administrators. This position will help triage and coordinate troubleshooting of storage issues in development and production and will identify opportunities to improve availability, reliability, and performance of storage infrastructure
Required Skills:
Bachelor
s degree in Computer Science or related curriculum and/or 2 years** experience in a technical role supporting storage infrastructure is required. Strong Storage administration skills are required. Experience in administering storage in at least one of the following storage technologies; Hitachi, EMC or NetApp. Knowledge in SAN Fabrics such as Brocade preferred. ITIL Foundations Certification and fundamental knowledge of Internet fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, SSL, HTTP) preferred. Successful candidates must have strong customer service skills, project management skills and problem solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for this role.
