Employment Heydays in Construction, Leisure, Travel & Hospitality Industries; EmploymentCrossing Envisages

September 10, 2013   |  PDF version  PDF version

Pasadena, CA - Mayhem in the recruitment, employment and jobs market in the past perhaps was apocryphal. All of that may have dithered jobseekers time and again. Muddling and grappling through rough phases, for jobseekers and recruiters, may have been just mythical tales, with employment, by the 3rd quarter of 2013, looking to be all in the pink; particularly, in the construction, leisure, travel & hospitality industries, going by the survey done and published by Manpower Employment Outlook Survey on its site. Their survey of the outlook, for Quarter3 of 2012, Quarter2, 2013 and quarter3, 2013, depicts growth in the net employment by 11%, 11% and 12% respectively.

Mainly, Leisure & Hospitality and Construction are some of the prominent segments to have witnessed significant growth in over a year's span. The corollary was - these industries underpinned the economy of the country. Amidst a bushel of downturn stories of various industries and business segments in the arena, these two segments have emerged triumphant, inferring from the reports. The research based on the survey signifies that employers are expected to increase the levels of staff, and the rate of growth is anticipated to cross 22% during the 3rd quarter of 2013, as per the seasonally adjusted data mentioned in the survey report, in the article.

The strong sectors like construction and leisure & hospitality seem to be, conspicuously, formidable contenders in the race, and believed to excel the rest, in the course.

As the report suggests, the construction industry outshined others in the previous year, and is anticipated to do moderately well, with increased hiring and 8% points increase in the Net Employment Outlook, by the 3rd quarter of 2013. It also exceeded an 18% mark in the 3rd quarter of 2007; it is, supposedly, quite an exemplary upturn.

The beacon indicators are that, in the leisure & hospitality industry, employers expect increased 6% Net Employment Outlook, with augmented hiring in the 3rd quarter of 2013.

In the context of delineated hiring as per sectors and regions, the survey would give a vivid picture of the optimistic outlook of the recruiters. Several industries are expected to do overwhelmingly well by the 3rd quarter of 2013, but leisure & hospitality is expected to exceed everybody's expectation, registering a growth of about 30%, and construction is anticipated to emulate most of the players, with 18% rise.

EmploymentCrossing clearly envisions this upbeat to do wonders for the economy. They have posted over 8900 jobs in the construction and more than 154000 jobs in the Hospitality segments on their site.

According to them, it's going to be glory days for construction, leisure, and travel & hospitality industries, predominantly, for recruitment and employment. EmploymentCrossing, with inculcation to ease jobseekers' job search and recruiters' hiring activity, have posted countless jobs openings on their site. They have made job search far easier than the conventional ones in the parlance, yet keeping it light on the pocket.
