There are two types of education marketing openings. There are positions which indulge in marketing of educational products like courses, books, or software. Such positions include educational software consultant, marketing executive, counselor, or educational account executive. The second type of education marketing position includes teaching positions in the area of marketing like those of a marketing lecturer, assistant professor – marketing, professor of marketing, or marketing and sales trainer.

The educational requirements for education marketing openings depend on job requirements. From an associate's degree to much higher qualifications in marketing may be required for an education marketing job.
