The pool of reservoir energy positions include positions like marine energy account executive, associate coordinator, reservoir engineer, mechanical engineer, director – reservoir energy, marine project manager, reservoir design engineer, dam construction engineer, and reservoir energy operator. A reservoir energy professional is typically responsible for supervising the energy generation activities undertaken at dams; performing audit for the energy plant; guiding and mentoring plant operators, contractors; assessing the performance of workers, preparing technical and administrative reports relating to dam construction or energy generation, assisting the reservoir manager, keeping updated in the area and alternative energy areas, and performing other tasks assigned by the supervisor. A reservoir energy professional typically reports to a reservoir energy manager.
A reservoir energy professional should have an associate's degree or a bachelor's degree. Excellent academic credentials are required. Prior experience in reservoir energy related area may be advantageous.
