Volunteer Manager Jobs

A volunteer manager’s job involves recruitment, assessment, training, and ongoing support of online volunteer, working with partner organizations to identify need, and be involved in the ongoing management of volunteers within them. A volunteer manager manages marketing department to develop recruitment campaigns for volunteer’s key requirements. A volunteer manager is responsible for the coordination and brokerage of volunteering opportunities; for reporting to internal and external stakeholders on project progress; and also is required to market opportunities to potential volunteers and develop a reporting process for volunteer involvement and progress. A volunteer manager work at social housing, community health and fitness facilities, development opportunities and a range of children’s services.

A volunteer manager requires a bachelor’s degree and 3+ years experience in a relevant job. A volunteer manager should have initiative to solve problems; good oral and written communication skills and demonstrated flexibility of hours and days. A volunteer manager must be IT literate (Ms office/ access/ Internet/ email). A volunteer manager should have ability to motivate and develop a team and delivering training sessions.
