Manufacturing Engineer Jobs
A manufacturing engineer is responsible for assisting in the maintenance of existing machinery; dealing with supplier quality and/or manufacturing issues; attending to faults arising during various stages in manufacturing; supervising and guiding shop-floor workers; suggesting and practicing best manufacturing processes; keeping abreast of new machines and technology; preparing designs of products and facility layouts; preparing and revising manufacturing documents, drawings, and bills of material; providing manufacturing level support to supervisors; delivering presentations relating to the manufacturing processes undertaken by the organization; and ensuring that the processes comply with the relevant health and safety regulations. These positions may also be listed under the titles production engineer, mechanical engineer, industrial engineer, or engineer.
Manufacturing engineer jobs may be available with companies manufacturing steel parts, bars, automobiles, plastic, cables, refrigerators, air conditioners, or any other product in bulk. Successful applicants for these positions typically have a bachelor\'s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or manufacturing engineering. Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Mil-Spec, and ISO knowledge/experience is a plus.
