Job Overview:

A highly regarded national law firm is seeking a mid-to-senior level associate to join its Health Care Practice Group based in Tampa. This role focuses on regulatory compliance and transactional matters for a broad range of healthcare clients including physician practices, telemedicine companies, and private equity or venture-backed entities operating in the healthcare and life sciences sectors. The ideal candidate is a motivated professional with strong drafting, client-facing, and mentoring skills who is seeking a long-term growth opportunity within a collegial and high-performing team.

Location:

• Tampa, Florida

Duties:

• Advise healthcare clients on regulatory compliance under federal and state laws

• Handle complex transactions involving healthcare entities, including M&A and private equity deals

• Draft and negotiate healthcare-related contracts and deal documents

• Navigate licensing, reimbursement, fraud and abuse, corporate practice of medicine, and related healthcare regulatory issues

• Oversee and manage multi-faceted legal projects

• Provide mentorship and training to junior associates

• Engage directly with clients and internal leadership teams on strategic legal matters

Requirements:

• 4–6 years of healthcare regulatory and transactional experience (up to 8 years will be considered)

• Demonstrated experience advising healthcare-focused clients in a law firm environment

• Prior Am Law 100 experience preferred

• Ability to manage complex transactions and client relationships independently

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

• Strong academic credentials required

Certifications:

• Active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

• Admission to the Florida Bar (or willingness to obtain promptly as a condition of employment)
