Job Overview:
A highly regarded national law firm is seeking a mid-to-senior level associate to join its Health Care Practice Group based in Tampa. This role focuses on regulatory compliance and transactional matters for a broad range of healthcare clients including physician practices, telemedicine companies, and private equity or venture-backed entities operating in the healthcare and life sciences sectors. Location:

Duties:
Advise healthcare clients on regulatory compliance under federal and state laws
Handle complex transactions involving healthcare entities, including M&A and private equity deals
Draft and negotiate healthcare-related contracts and deal documents
Navigate licensing, reimbursement, fraud and abuse, corporate practice of medicine, and related healthcare regulatory issues
Oversee and manage multi-faceted legal projects
Provide mentorship and training to junior associates
Engage directly with clients and internal leadership teams on strategic legal matters
Requirements:
4–6 years of healthcare regulatory and transactional experience (up to 8 years will be considered)
Demonstrated experience advising healthcare-focused clients in a law firm environment
Prior Am Law 100 experience preferred
Ability to manage complex transactions and client relationships independently
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
Strong academic credentials required
Certifications:
Active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
Admission to the Florida Bar (or willingness to obtain promptly as a condition of employment)
Skills:
Sophisticated legal drafting and research skills
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
High level of professional maturity and ethical judgment
Comfortable with both team collaboration and independent execution
Proven ability to manage client expectations and deadlines efficiently
