Job Overview

A law firm seeks a senior corporate associate to join its team in Ann Arbor, MI. The ideal candidate will have experience with start-ups, emerging growth companies, seed and venture capital financings, and mergers and acquisitions. This role involves significant client interaction and requires comfort in engaging with CEOs, Boards of Directors, and general partners of venture funds.

Duties

• Counsel founders, executives, and venture capitalists.
• Represent companies and investors in venture financing transactions.
• Engage in growth equity and M&A transactions.
• Collaborate with team members and clients in the start-up ecosystem.

Requirements

• JD from 2017-2019.
• Previous large law firm experience required.
• Admitted or eligible to waive into the State Bar of Michigan.
• Experience with emerging growth companies and funds.
• Proficiency in M&A, venture capital, and growth equity financing transactions.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admitted to the State Bar of Michigan or eligible for admission.
