Paralegal

The candidate to help with personal injury and workers’ compensation practice. Duties would include: Participate in initial consultations; answering phones; interviewing clients. Drafting pleadings (i.e. Complaints, Motions and Notices). Drafting discovery demands and responses. Keeping detailed track of case expenses, client medical bills and other special damages; Filing documents with the Court, including electronically filing documents. Must properly serve documents upon opposing counsel. Calendar deadlines, schedule depositions. Requesting, receiving, organizing and summarizing medical records and medical bills, as well as any other required document such as employment records and tax returns. Must have good calendaring skills to ensure requests are complied with. Trial Preparation: preparing subpoenas, expert witness disclosures, and other trial work as necessary. Client Communication: must engage regularly in client contact, reaching out routinely to clients and responding to client questions or concerns. Litigation experience preferred.
