Duties

• Draft and argue dispositive motions, discovery motions, demurrers, and pre-trial motions.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and develop strategies on complex legal issues.
• Collaborate with trial attorneys to shape case strategy for early resolution or trial success.
• Review pleadings, discovery, and evidence to identify strong motion opportunities.
• Appear in court to argue motions and handle hearings when appropriate.
• Play a central role in shaping the legal direction of cases.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active California bar membership in good standing.
• Extensive experience drafting motions on the defense side; insurance defense experience preferred.
• Excellent legal writing skills with a clear, persuasive style.
• Confidence in legal research, issue-spotting, and strategic thinking.
• Ability to take ownership of work.
