Job Overview
A growing U.S. immigration law firm is seeking an experienced Business Immigration Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling a variety of business immigration cases, including the preparation and filing of petitions and applications, providing legal advice to clients, and managing immigration-related processes. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside a dynamic team of legal professionals in a collaborative environment, focusing on business immigration matters and employer compliance.

Duties

  • Work closely with the Managing Attorney, Legal Operations Manager, and Paralegals on business immigration matters
  • Develop and implement legal strategies for business immigration cases
  • Collect and organize required documentation and information from clients
  • Prepare and submit immigration forms, supporting evidence, and filings
  • Track case progress through the online case management system and manage expiration dates
  • Respond to client inquiries throughout the immigration process
  • Handle common business immigration matters including E-1, E-2, L-1, H-1B, TN, O-1, PERM Labor Certification, EB-5, and others
  • Assist in employer compliance, family-based immigration, and outbound global immigration cases
  • Provide guidance on immigration strategies and ensure timely processing of applications and petitions

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business immigration law
  • Proven experience with merits-based immigration cases and PERM Labor Certification
  • Strong understanding of U.S. immigration processes, including visa types, adjustments of status, and consular processing
  • Experience working with U.S. employers and international professionals on immigration matters

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Valid Bar license in the state of practice

Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Foreign language fluency is a plus
