Corporate Partner or Senior Counsel

Profile

A law firm seeks a seasoned attorney based in Massachusetts with 10 to 15 years of corporate law practice to deepen and broaden the capabilities of its department.

Duties

• Represent a diverse array of closely held companies, including founders, executives, and investors.
• Provide advisory services and general outside counsel.
• Assist with company formation and restructuring.

Requirements

• 10 to 15 years of experience in a law firm Corporate/Transactional practice.
• Active Massachusetts law license and strong New England connections.
• Experience with early-stage companies, private equity, and early-round corporate finance is preferred.
• Familiarity with commercial real estate transactions, finance, and leasing is a plus.
• A portable book of business valued at $250,000 or more.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active state bar membership (Massachusetts).

Skills

• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with a preference for three days in the office, based on practice demands.
• Proven track record of managing client relationships and providing high-quality legal counsel.
