Duties

  • Advise clients on estate planning strategies, including wills, trusts, and tax planning.
  • Represent fiduciaries, beneficiaries, and heirs in probate proceedings.
  • Draft and review estate planning documents and probate pleadings.
  • Handle estate and trust administration, including asset distribution and tax compliance.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and clients on probate administration matters.
  • Manage probate litigation, including motions and hearings.
  • Provide counsel on business succession planning and charitable giving strategies.
  • Stay current on laws affecting estate planning and probate.
  • Work with financial advisors and accountants to develop client plans.
  • Attend court hearings and client meetings as necessary.
  • Participate in business development and client outreach.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active state bar membership in Tennessee or eligibility for admission.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in estate planning and probate law.
  • Strong knowledge of probate court procedures and estate tax laws.
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality legal services.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
