A law firm seeks an experienced litigation attorney to join its practice in Houston, TX. Duties

• Manage personal injury cases through all phases of litigation
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
• Take and defend depositions
• Prepare for and argue hearings
• Attend mediations and settlement conferences
• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategy
• Work directly with clients throughout the litigation process
• Collaborate closely with attorneys, paralegals, and litigation support staff
• Prepare and participate in trial

Requirements

• 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably in personal injury litigation
• Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Strong oral advocacy and negotiation abilities
• Experience managing an active litigation docket
• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
• A strong work ethic, professionalism, and sound judgment
• Graduation in the top 50% of a Tier 1 or Tier 2 law school, or the top 25% of a Tier 3 or Tier 4 law school
• Spanish fluency is a plus

• Juris Doctor degree
