A well-established civil litigation defense law firm is seeking attorney for Workers' Compensation (WC) and Liability Insurance Defense in their Virginia offices. These positions are hands-on roles requiring heavy litigation and billable hours. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and defending clients in WC and liability insurance cases. Location:

• Herndon, VA

Duties:

• Manage and litigate cases in Workers' Compensation and Liability Insurance Defense.
• Handle billable hours and meet firm productivity standards.
• Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and management.
• Develop case strategies, research legal matters, and prepare legal documents.
• Represent clients in depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Prepare motions, pleadings, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide effective legal counsel.

Requirements:

• Admission to the Virginia Bar (D.C. Bar is a plus).
• 1-3 years of experience in Workers' Compensation or Liability Insurance Defense preferred.
• Experience with billing hours and managing case workloads.
• Strong communication skills with clients, opposing counsel, and management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong legal research, writing, and organizational skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Virginia (D.C. Bar is a plus).

Skills:

• Litigation and trial experience.
• Knowledge of Workers' Compensation and Liability Insurance Defense.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
