Job Overview

A well-regarded law firm is seeking a Real Estate Counsel to support its growing real estate practice. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in handling complex real estate transactions, including purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, joint ventures, and due diligence. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in sectors such as convenience stores, family offices, or renewable energy. This opportunity is presented by a legal recruiting agency on behalf of the firm.

Location

Duties

• Draft and negotiate real estate purchase and sale agreements

• Review and prepare commercial lease agreements

• Structure and document real estate joint ventures

• Conduct due diligence and oversee closing processes for real estate transactions

• Provide strategic legal advice on a wide range of real estate matters

• Collaborate with internal teams and clients in a team-based legal environment

Requirements

• Significant experience handling complex real estate transactions

• Familiarity with joint ventures, leasing, and property acquisitions/dispositions

• Experience in convenience store, family office, or renewables sectors is a plus

• Open to candidates at the Counsel level or experienced Staff Attorneys with 3–6 years of relevant experience

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a team-oriented mindset

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

Skills

• Excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Proven ability to manage multiple, complex transactions

• Collaborative approach to working with clients and legal colleagues
