Legal Assistant
The candidate will daily case management (case audits, calendaring, client contact via phone and email). Trial preparation/support (includes exhibit preparation, binder creation/maintenance, some trial or major hearing attendance). Preparation and revision of routine and complex motion practice, correspondence, and memoranda. Processing received client documents, scanning, and digital file upkeep/maintenance. Organization and upkeep of client files, including billing information and the taking of payments in person and over the phone. Taking client payments and entering expenses through billing software Clio. Should have a High School Diploma. Should have 1+ years in law office support (secretarial experience accepted). Effective written and oral communication skills are needed. Customer service background, experience with taking online payments is needed. Paralegal certification or other relevant coursework of 6 college credits or more. Pre-existing familiarity with billing/case management software Clio is needed.
