Legal Assistant
The candidate to support multiple attorneys (partners and associates). Responsibilities: Typing general correspondence, memoranda, and complex legal documents. Prepare correspondence, pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas and stipulations. Electronic filing experience in Federal and State courts. File documents in multiple jurisdictions. Prepare TOC and TOA for Briefs. Proofreading documents and check for appropriate formatting, spelling, and grammar. Conflict check and file creation paperwork. Organize and maintain file documents. Arrange meetings, conferences, travel, transportation and hotel reservations. Follow-up on delegated assignments. Attorney billing and expense reports (Juris Suite experience a plus). Should have High school diploma (Bachelor’s Degree a plus). 2-3 years insurance defense litigation experience preferred. Must have strong working knowledge of court procedures.
