2nd shift: 4:30pm – end of production

Summary

Responsible for scanning all product cases and labels prior to loading on the trailers to ensure correct counts and product. Can work in Scan, Pull product or Box line for level I

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

Scan labels on each case of product located on pallet

Verify case count and case product numbers on each pallet with ship note

Correct errors discovered during verification:

Add or remove cases to match ship note

Scan all additional cases in or out of inventory as needed for correction

Identify and replace any damaged cases

Record pallet number, cases scanned, and quantity scanned on tally sheet

Wrap pallet by hand or using automated pallet wrapping

Keep the area clean

Other duties assigned

Qualifications

Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work independently, multi-task and be detail oriented

Basic computer and math skills

Ability to wear, use and maintain personal protective equipment

Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

6 months of production experience preferred

Warehouse or Distribution experience preferred

Forklift experience preferred; Ability to obtain forklift & pallet jack certification

Communication Skills

Must be able to communicate effectively with or without interpretive service

Ability to read product labels

Physical Requirements / Environment

Stand/Walk: Continuously up to 8 hours

Lift/Carry: Frequently (up to 50 lbs.)

Push/Pull: Frequently (5 to 15 lbs.)

Bend/stoop/squat: Frequently

Physical Environment: Continuously working around moving machinery

Environment: Continuously – Working around moving machinery, working in a cold, damp and slippery environment (Below 40° F)
