Job Title: General Liability Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm located in Bedminster, NJ, is actively seeking a seasoned litigation associate to support its general liability practice across Pennsylvania and New Jersey. This position involves managing a docket of liability defense matters from initiation through resolution, including court appearances, motion practice, and strategic case development. Remote work arrangements may be considered for candidates with strong regional experience and licensing.

Duties:

• Handle a diverse portfolio of general liability cases in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania jurisdictions

• Draft and revise pleadings, legal memoranda, and dispositive motions

• Conduct and defend depositions, including expert and fact witnesses

• Engage in oral arguments and represent clients in court proceedings

• Perform case assessments and formulate a litigation strategy

• Manage client communications and expectations throughout the litigation lifecycle

• Collaborate with internal legal teams to ensure consistent, high-quality advocacy

• Navigate insurance defense protocols and reporting obligations when applicable

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil litigation, preferably on the defense side

• Demonstrated proficiency in premises liability, general negligence, motor vehicle accidents, and insurance-related disputes

• Strong command of civil procedure and evidentiary rules in NJ and PA

• Proven record of effective deposition practice and motion drafting

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania (required)

Skills:

• Excellent legal research and analytical reasoning

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently

• Adept at negotiation and courtroom advocacy

• Technologically proficient with litigation support tools and case management software
