A law firm seeks a midlevel corporate associate with experience in emerging companies and venture capital in Boston, MA. The candidate will provide legal guidance on corporate and transactional matters, from formation to exit, and support clients in strategic transactions.

Duties

• Advise emerging companies and venture capital investors on corporate matters.
• Draft and negotiate venture capital financing documents.
• Provide guidance on corporate governance, including board and shareholder issues.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic transactions.
• Conduct due diligence and assist in transactional closings.
• Act as outside corporate counsel to private companies.
• Manage client and counsel relationships.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
• Must reside in the Boston area at or prior to the time of hire.
• Work in the office at least three business days per week.

Education

• JD from an ABA Accredited Law School.

Certifications

• Licensed or ready to become licensed to practice law in Massachusetts.

Skills
