Westmoreland County is seeking applicants for the position of Office Manager in the Sheriff’s Office. The purpose of the position is to ensure the financial facets of the Sheriff’s Office in compliance with State and Local auditing requirements. Job duties include but are not limited to:
Organizing and maintaining the budget.
Being responsible for payroll and the issuing of checks.
Performing end-of-the-month turnover.
Acting as point of contact for Local and State auditors.
Remitting monthly bills to DRO, U.S. Marshall’s and Clerk of Courts.
Ordering supplies
Resolving fiscal, filing and procedural questions and problems.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent. 6-12 months of work experience in an office environment is preferred. Must possess ability to work independently, have flexibility and the ability to work effectively with the public, co-workers and others.
