Duties:
Assess new workers' compensation cases and establish action plans, budgets, and recommendations
Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals as needed
Prepare discovery responses and manage document production
Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, providing detailed reports
Negotiate settlements and secure authority for case progression
Prepare cases for trial as necessary
Maintain regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants to ensure efficient case handling
Requirements:
1-5 years of experience in workers' compensation or insurance defense (preferred)
Licensed to practice law in South Carolina
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks independently with minimal supervision
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with database management systems is a plus
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and maintain effective communication

Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
Certifications:
