Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for its New York, NY office, with the option to telecommute within the NYC metro area two days per week. The role involves advising U.S. and international corporate clients on complex employee benefits and executive compensation matters.

Duties

• Advise on plan design, implementation, and compliance with evolving regulations.
• Provide legal support in mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions.
• Lead due diligence, identify risks, and manage post-closing processes.
• Serve as lead associate on deal teams, coordinating across practice groups.

Requirements

• J.D., LL.M., or equivalent and three years of experience as a lawyer or related.
• Experience with executive compensation and employee benefits.
• Experience advising on compensation and benefits aspects of transactions.
• Experience drafting and negotiating transactional and executive compensation documents.
• Experience conducting due diligence and addressing compliance with Section 409A and 208G.
• Experience advising multinational corporations on global reorganizations and integrations.
• Must be eligible for or have a license to practice law in New York.

Education

• J.D., LL.M., or equivalent.

Certifications

• License to practice law in New York.
