A Houston-based law firm is expanding its immigration practice and seeks passionate Immigration Attorneys across multiple experience levels. The role offers the chance to lead, mentor, and shape the strategic direction of casework while delivering high-quality legal support to a diverse client base.

Duties:

  • Conduct an in-depth review of immigration filings and provide actionable feedback before submission

  • Approve case filings and ensure legal accuracy and completeness

  • Offer strategic legal guidance and collaborate closely with paralegals on case preparation

  • Draft complex legal arguments, motions, and documentation as needed

  • Mentor and train legal support staff including junior paralegals and assistants

  • Provide case coverage and support to other practice areas when attorneys are unavailable

  • Participate in legal team discussions to improve internal processes and client service delivery

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution

  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

  • Demonstrated experience in immigration law (affirmative filings, case strategy, legal writing)

  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail

  • Ability to communicate effectively and manage team collaboration

  • Comfortable managing workloads in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to at least one U.S. State Bar in good standing

Skills:

  • Legal drafting and analytical skills in immigration-related matters

  • Team leadership and staff development

  • Time management and ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously

  • Clear and confident verbal and written communication

  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative mindset
